What is the Medicare Prescription Payment Program (M3P)?

M3P is a new program for Part D Prescription Drug plans, including plans embedded within Medicare Advantage Plans, to offer monthly payments for your out-of-pocket costs. This program, known as “payment smoothing” takes your remaining out-of-pocket costs and splits them between the remaining months in your prescription drug plan year.
