Do you ever wonder if you are getting the lowest price for your prescription drugs, but you don’t want to spend time looking at various discount card options? With MedsYourWay – Retail, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas insurance card does the legwork for you.

Employers with Blue Cross BlueRx Card, BlueCare and ResultsRx plans have MedsYourWay. MedsYourWay compares prices from multiple discount drug cards and your health plan benefit price (copay) when the pharmacy participates in contracting discount card programs. The lowest price between the discount drug card and the copay is what the member pays.

In addition to covered prescription drugs, as of Feb. 14, 2024, MedsYourWay will also include various over-the-counter drugs with a prescription as well as selected non-covered prescription drugs.

Note: Purchases of non-covered products with a discount drug card through MedsYourWay do not apply to deductibles or annual out-of-pocket.

How MedsYourWay works

Members simply present their member ID card at their pharmacy when they fill a prescription; no need to use any other card.

  • Once you show your member ID card at a participating pharmacy, MedsYourWay selects the lowest available price between discount drug cards and the insurance copay for medicines covered by your prescription benefit.
  • Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and products not covered by your health plan may also qualify for a discount. To see which medicines qualify for a discount, visit MyPrime.com and select Find Medicines. You will need to log in using your BlueAccess username and password. If you see a discount, ask your doctor for a prescription for that OTC medicine and fill your prescription at a participating pharmacy.
