Medicare Advantage Interim Rate Letters
Reimbursement for inpatient and outpatient services will be based on the critical access hospital’s or rural health clinic's most recent interim rate letter from their A/B Medicare Administrative Contractors.
To ensure appropriate reimbursement, a copy of the current interim rate letter is necessary to be provided at initial contracting and each following year when CMS provides updated interim rate letters. These letters must be provided timely, so the system is set to pay according to the letter.
Email the rate letters to [email protected].
